These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Smart Invoice (the “App”), provided by [COMPANY_NAME] (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install apps for that store. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your store's installation of the App and for keeping your Shopify account secure.
2. The service
Smart Invoice lets merchants design invoice templates and export invoice/PDF documents from Shopify order data. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the App. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Plans, trials & billing
- The App offers a Free plan and paid plans (Plus and Business). Current pricing is shown on our pricing section and in the Shopify App Store listing.
- Paid plans include a 14-day free trial unless stated otherwise. After the trial, the subscription fee applies.
- All billing is processed by Shopify and appears on your Shopify invoice. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis and are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime by uninstalling the App or changing your plan in Shopify Admin; cancellation stops future charges.
- We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes do not apply retroactively to a current paid period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purposes, or to create misleading invoices.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the App as a service to third parties without our written permission.
- Upload content or data you do not have the right to use, or that violates Shopify's terms or applicable law.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legal compliance of invoices and tax documents you generate. The App is a tool; it does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice.
5. Your data
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and GDPR & Data Processing page, which form part of these Terms. You retain ownership of your store data and content. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the App and provide the service to you.
6. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by [COMPANY_NAME] and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your store while these Terms are in effect. Your own logos, templates, and content remain yours.
7. Third-party services

8. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that invoices generated will satisfy any specific legal, tax, or accounting requirement in your jurisdiction.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [COMPANY_NAME] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the App in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
